What You Will Do

The Post Bachelor's category of the UGS Program offers college graduates the opportunity to participate in the UGS program after graduation. Post Bachelor students may remain in this category for up to two years. Academic year and/or summer internships are available. What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
Have a minimum cumulative GPA of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).

What You Will Do
The Materials Physics and Applications (MPA) Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory is currently seeking candidates for the position of Deputy Division Leader (DDL).

The MPA DDL will help lead and manage an organization of ~300 researchers and staff to execute a portfolio of ~$95M per year. MPA Division provides an intellectually stimulating environment for the pursuit of basic and applied materials physics and chemistry, enabling the development of new technologies to solve pressing national energy and security challenges. MPA operates two world-class user facilities, the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory-Pulse Field Facility, and the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies, as well as unique experimental capabilities and infrastructures essential to understanding and controlling functional materials properties. The Division's staff has an excellent publication record in high impact journals and a distinguished record of recognition through numerous major fellowships, awards, and prizes. MPA Division has strong national and international collaborations with academia, industry, and other national laboratories.

The DDL will work closely with the MPA Division Leader (DL) to provide leadership, vision, strategic and tactical planning, and management for high quality research and development across the MPA Division. The DDL position requires customer service orientation, demonstrated leadership qualities, and the ability to interact effectively at all levels. In addition to technical leadership and management, the deputy division leader will be expected to help develop personnel, recruit and retain critical skills in the workforce, support diversity and inclusion, as well as promote a safe and secure working environment.

What You Need
Demonstrated record of excellent leadership, management, and supervisory skills including the development of personnel. Significant record of technical leadership in physical sciences, such as experience in leadingmanaging broad, complex organizations or programs. Experience in developing and implementing strategies to foster science and build technical capability, develop research programs, and improve technical infrastructure and facilities. Demonstrated experience in management of an organization conducting research in the physical sciences including managing budgetary resources and engaging with technical leadership to evaluate and resolve institutional issues. Proven track record of attracting, evaluating, mentoring, developing, motivating, and retaining creative, talented people in a technical organization. A strong record of advocacy and innovation, and a commitment to scientific excellence. Ability to establish trust and deliver on commitments while ensuring operational effectiveness. Demonstrated commitment and experience in assuring a healthy, safe, and secure working environment, which includes a commitment to diversity and inclusion. Successful management of high output scientific facilities requiring stringent environmental, safety and health standards. Ability to obtain a Q-clearance, which typically requires US citizenship

Desired Qualifications
Knowledge of MPA Division's technical and research portfolio and an understanding of how the portfolio supports LANL's national security mission. Working knowledge or prior experience in the DOE/NNSA Laboratory environment. Knowledge of external funding agencies (DOE, NNSA, DoD, DHS, etc.), including significant experience and engagement with programmatic sponsors (programmatic interaction, strategy development, and/or change of station). Experience with national user facilities. Experience with DOE Office of Science, Basic Energy Sciences programs, and DOE's Applied Energy program offices. Working knowledge of the Nuclear Weapons Program strategy, initiatives, and future directions. Active involvement in one or more professional associations relevant to MPA science and technology

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of employee and performance management experience
  • 2 years of Strong Operations Management Proficient in Data Analysis

Propósito Del Puesto
Ejecutar las actividades de campo específicas del Programa Técnico del que depende en el PA del cual es miembro, así como realizar un soporte integral a la ejecución de actividades de patrocinio, involucramiento comunitario y otras actividades programáticas.

Requisitos

  • Licenciatura ciencias sociales (Psicología, Ciencias de la Educación, Comunicación Social, Antropología, Trabajo Social, Sociología, Derecho y ramas afines).
  • Conocimiento sobre la organización e implementación de procesos/eventos de formación y/o desarrollo personal y social de niñas, niños, adolescentes y jóvenes.
  • Conocimiento sobre diseño, implementación y gestión de proyectos de desarrollo comunitario.
  • Experiencia de trabajo con poblaciones en situación de vulneración y/o niñez en riesgo (deseable).
  • Conocimiento del marco normativo en temas de familia, infancia y niñez, adolescencia y juventud.
  • Experiencia en procesos de desarrollo de capacidades a personas mayores.
  • Habilidades logísticas y de gestión administrativa.
  • Habilidades de comunicación y relacionamiento.
  • Manejo y resolución de conflictos.
  • Conocimiento de Ofimática e Internet.
  • Licencia de conducir de movilidad (deseable).
  • Licencia de conducir de motocicleta (indispensable).
  • Experiencia laboral específica de al menos 2 años en el área de protección y/o participación de la niñez y/o adolescencia
  • Experiencia laboral progresiva de al menos 3 años.

Description
The Loss Prevention Specialist (LPS) is a key high level hourly associate position in the Amazon Delivery Centers (DCs). The Loss Prevention Specialist leads the effort to efficiently and effectively provide security services and asset (lives, buildings, equipment, inventory, data, & intellectual property) protection in a designated fulfillment center. The LP Specialist reports to the Loss Prevention Manager responsible for their facility, and aids them in supporting the DC Operational team, and the cross functional teams throughout the organization.

Key job responsibilities

  • Enhance, track, and report on metrics which are key performance indicators, allowing performance improvements so that the desired outcomes are achieved to plan and in a timely manner
  • Ensure internal controls per Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements related to area are fulfilled
  • Assist with investigations of internal and external theft and fraud and conduct interviews when appropriate
  • Inspire performance excellence on the part of all security services team members
  • Ensure that you understand, align performance and actions with and can clearly articulate the vision and values of the organization and their department
  • Meet or surpass your objectives that align with security service model
  • Identify, promote and implement security best practices in a designated DC
  • Serve as department's liaison and security subject matter expert for facility management keeping them abreast of key issues, strategies and the department's performance
  • Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methods to drive process improvements and increase efficiency
  • Effectively partner with internal customers in evaluating current and future security services, processes and initiatives
  • Coordinate data collection, through database polling or data entry, from multiple DC; and conduct analysis generating strategic and tactical interpretations

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ year experience in security services, asset protection, audit, risk management, inventory control, quality assurance, or other related field
  • Proficient with MS Office Professional Suite, including intermediate knowledge of Excel
  • Shift work will be required, potentially to include nights, weekends and Public Holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic - Intermediate level of English B1+

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma concepts desired and certification
  • Strong familiarity with data bases (querying and analyzing) such as SQL, MYSQL, Access, Exception Based Reporting, etc.
  • Interviewing and Interrogation experience desired and Wicklander and Zulawski certification is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree or on track
  • Experience with warehouse or distribution center services
  • Workplace Violence and/or Business Continuity experience
  • Awareness and implementation of best practices related to the utilization of physical security systems, investigation techniques, effective oversight of contract security officers, and distribution center loss mitigation techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with off-site supervision
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment
  • Analytical experience in performance based, action and results oriented setting
  • Proficiency in both Spanish and English

  • Conocimientos intermedios en
    N8N, Zapier, Make o plataformas similares

  • Alguna experiencia con

  • Bases en
